<strong>Dr. Tariq Rajan</strong>
Dr. Tariq Rajan
Born and raised in Calgary, Dr.Rajan is proud to be back in his hometown to serve his community. His educational background started from the University of Calgary where he received his degree Bachelor of Science and Major in Kinesiology. After receiving his degree, Dr.Rajan worked for Lenscrafters and became a certified lab technician to better understand the optical principles of lenses and eyewear prior to entering Optometry school at Pacific University in 2004. Dr. Rajan’s clinical experiences include working for an Ocular Disease referral center (OMNI) in Atlanta Georgia, a medical hospital in China (Wenzhou Medical Eye Hospital), a children’s eye clinic in Bellevue Washington (Northwest Pediatric Eyecare) and in numerous optometric centers in Portland Oregon.

Dr. Rajan also has taken part in numerous voluntary opportunities to help those who are underserved like those in the Special Olympics in 2006 and joined he the Canadian Vision Club in 2008 to help those in developing countries on an annual basis.

His primary joy is working with children and helping them better their vision through glasses, contact lenses and vision therapy thus improving their visual skills in school, in sport, in LIFE.

<strong>Dr. Amy Smith</strong>
Dr. Amy Smith
Dr. Smith grew up in Calgary, and after completing her post secondary education and working in Ontario for a number of years, has now returned to her hometown.

She received her education through the University of Waterloo in Canada, fast-tracking through both a Bachelor of Science and Optometry degree in only seven years. Her experience stems from clinics around Ontario as well as in Florida with the Eye Associates of Pinellas, a clinic specializing in the treatment of ocular disease.

Since returning to Calgary, Dr. Smith has taken the time to reacquaint herself with the community, volunteering for community organizations, church groups, and supporting the local art scene. She enjoys spending her free time on creative writing, sewing, and making art.

<strong>Dr. Shelly Taneja</strong>
Dr. Shelly Taneja
Dr. Shelly Taneja was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. In 2005, she received her first degree in Computer Information Systems in Calgary, Alberta. In 2009, she graduated from the University of Manchester in England where she received her second degree in Optometry. During her training, she had the opportunity to work with many ophthalmologists and gain much valuable experience in ocular health and many different areas of optometry such as contact lenses. Dr. Taneja also had the great pleasure of working with many children in the Binocular Vision clinic in the Doncaster Hospital.

Dr. Taneja enjoys hot yoga, dancing, painting pottery, travelling and watching movies.

Dr. Taneja is very excited to join Dr. Rajan and looks forward to providing the best eye care to the people of Alberta.

<strong>Dr. Attila Tamas</strong>
Dr. Attila Tamas
Dr. Tamas started his training at the University of Calgary and further went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He is particularly interested in the study of ocular disease and binocular vision, and enjoys working with the pediatric population.
